The reason I'm asking is because I will be there with the VI camera crew doing interviews. I would like to meet as many VI peeps as I can. I would love to coordinate a day where we could get a group pic. Maybe even get some members on camera to introduce themselves and show us what setup they are rocking for the convention. Even if you do not want to be on camera, if you see me there make sure you say hello. I always have time chat with a VI brother or sister. Looking forward to seeing you there. Let me know in this thread if you are going and what day you will be there.
I'm mailing myself 2-day priority Jack, make sure you check your vape mail packages, don't leave me on the door step overnight, I'll be one cold bitch in the morning, just sayin.............
Lmao, just don't use FedEx ground. They like to steal vape gear. Lol. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Can you post the date again @Deucesjack so everyone will know when it is. I have CRS most of the time
I did some pretty big interviews while I was there. I got the scoop on the new Vandy Vape regulated squonker mod with Tony B. We had a really good interview. It’s an 80 watt mod with a Gene Chipset. I also met Jaybo, it was great to get him on camera. I think the interview came out awesome. One of the biggest scores of the Convention as far as the interviews go was definitely Grimm Green. I had him on camera for quite some time and it was just a really good interview. Guy is just super chill. I also was able to get Daniel from DJlsB Vapes and his interview came out fantastic as well. I think one of the highlights as far as interviews goes was definitely Eric Buss from Squid Vapor. We picked his mod as mod of the year and I did about a 20-minute interview with him that was just phenomenal. His booth was packed all weekend and the DB was probably the mod most peeps were carrying. They were all over the place. Hangsen and COV were very gracious to me. I did interviews for their Hangsen pod system and their COV squonker that's coming out. They are doing a Reuleaux shaped squonker that is just tiny looking. It takes dual 18650’s and it looks great. Hangsen also has some slick looking pod systems coming out. They also took me to dinner at a really nice steakhouse for my birthday. Great bunch of people. I was also able to meet my man Bear from Smoant. We got him on camera. He showed me some new stuff from Smoant but I was not able to put it on camera. I have been sworn to secrecy but stay tuned. All I have to say is keep an eye out for Smoant because they're doing some really innovative things. We did go over the new pod system and he did show me the gunmetal Cylon which I have never seen in person. It looks great in the pictures but man does it look fantastic in person. I may actually have to go out and get myself one. Another highlight of the show for me was being able to meet a really good friend that I've been talking to on the forum to for years. I got to meet Mjag and we actually got to hang out for the whole day Sunday. He's an awesome guy that does awesome reviews. He also did me a huge solid by shipping and packing all the stuff that was given to me because I wasn't able to carry it back in my luggage to New York. I just wanted to say thanks to @Mjag and let everybody know what a cool dude he really is. I spent some time at the Vicious Ant Booth. Man, is that stuff beautiful. The pictures that you see of their stuff on the web sites and the magazines don't even do them justice. They make some of the most beautiful mods I have ever seen. We were able to get them on camera and go over some of their products. They even gave me their new Spade squonker for review, so make sure you keep an eye out for that one. The Spade definitely has that DJ Factor. As far as the conventions go and if I had to compare it to all of the other ones we've done so far, I would say that this was definitely one of the better ones. The displays were actually bigger and better than I've ever seen before. All of these Vape companies are really starting to spend a lot of money at these conventions to separate themselves from everybody else. One thing that really bothered me about the convention was the security. The security was tighter than TSA was at JFK. It was actually to the point of ridiculousness. They wouldn't let people walk in the convention with a bag. You couldn't walk in with a knapsack the only bags that were allowed were small pocketbooks for women. The security was so tight, on the first day it actually took me almost an hour to walk in the door with a media ticket. Once I got my pass it wasn't that big of a deal because I was able to walk in the side entrance but I still had to go through a security check. I just felt bad for the regular people that bought tickets and were standing on line for over an hour in order to get in. One guy told me it took him over 90 minutes to get in the door. There's got to be a better way for ECC to do this because what they're doing at this convention just isn't right. Security was just bad all around and they dropped the ball big time. Whoever runs this convention, really has to rethink the security part. Overall though, I had an absolute blast. I was able to make some new friends, I was able to meet some old friends. I wound up getting a lot of product at this event so stay tuned and make sure you keep an eye out for all the new reviews that will be forthcoming. See everyone at Foxwoods in March.
Sounds like it was fun. Now if have a convention closer to Pa I will be there. Think there is something going on in June in Morgan town WV. That's like a hour away from me.
When it comes to Vape Conventions I say go! If you are fortunate enough to have one in your area, definitely go. I have yet to go to one and have a bad time. One of the best in the Northeast is the one at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. I have been to four of them there and they get bigger and better every year. I'll be there next month for sure.
