This video shows how to get the tobeco tank apart- which is how I take most of my tanks apart including the Asvape Cobra!
At 19 seconds of the video he holds up the instruction card that shows how Asvape recommends changing the coil. I'm thinking I'm gonna use the bottom method though.
Were you able to get the tank apart and get the coil out? I took apart my SS Cobra- the only one I didn't use yet and had to use the small allen wrench and a thin damp sponge on the glass and it twisted off pretty quickly! I am going to leave it almost apart until I am ready to use it!
I haven't really had time to mess with it too much yet. I tried by hand and no way. I'll work on it this weekend for sure.
Finally got it apart, primed and filled. Put it on the Cool Fire IV Plus at 20 watts to break in the coil. A few puffs and oh yeah, I'm going to love this tank. Currently vaping On Cloud Custard from Vape Wild.
I am glad that you were finally able to get the tank apart and can now try vaping this awesome tank! I cannot get many of the newer tanks apart without using my little allen wrench and a damp sponge or gloves. Many of these tanks are screwed together so tightly, almost impossible for me to get them apart! Another tank I really like is the Innokin Scion- but again so tightly screwed together that I actually broke the coil, when I finally got it apart.
Slight, I fixed it by making sure bottom o-ring was in correctly and the coil screwed in and not too loose.
Sometimes after refilling I get some, very little- but after refilling I hold a paper towel at the air vents and blow through the drip tip, gets out any liquid or condensation. I had more little leaks for the 1st coil- not sure if all the twisting to get the bottom off did something to that coil orings- 2nd coil installed is much better, and before installing the 2nd coil make sure the area under where it should go is clean with paper towel and a qtip. I vape at 25w - 28w with these tanks. When vaping keep inhaling after letting go of the power button, helps vaporize the remaining liquid and keep it from condensating and drip through the vent- it helps. My tanks do not show any leakage when sitting for a while, just on refilling. The only tanks I get zero leaking or condensation through the bottom vents are the OBS Engine and the Freemax Starre Pure Tanks- both of these tanks are top air flow- there are no vents at the bottom.
I am so glad that you are liking the Cobra tank! Yes it was a PITA to get apart, so are many of my newer tanks, but the vape is so nice and smooth, with no spitting and gurgling ,with great flavor too! The coils are lasting about 3 weeks for me- I usually vape these tanks at 25w-30w and run about 90mls of liquid more or less! I am really liking these low style tanks and looks and vapes excellent with my Minikin V2, the Minikin V1.5 and the Silvanusa and Asvape Michael!
I was out at a event with the kids so I was using my tank. Stopped in a shop on way home for some wire. started talking to the owner about the tank and mod I was using. Long story short after I let him try the tank for a few minutes he loves It. The shop is ordering a couple tanks, he is getting himself one and they gave me my wire + a extra spool for free !!
