i have been making my own ejuice for about a year now. Mine never has that pungent good smell, store bought juice I can smell from across the room. I use good flavor manufactures brands like Capella, flavor West, Perfumers Apprentice, etc. I follow recipies to the T, my question is: What might I be doing wrong? I steep my juice, I even have a magnetic/ heat mixer on the way. I vape on a Smok Alien 200 and I build my own coils. All I need now is to be able to make some awesome ejuice. Any tips or information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm sure some of our resident chef mixers will have advise.
I can say that some flavors just carry the scent a lot more than others.
Some of it is simply due to the particular flavor.
Some of it is whomever made that particular flavor concentrate.

Thanks ParaTech, I’m hoping to get some good advice from some master mixers. I’m really getting into this, and some great tasting juice will really get me when I’ve been wanting to be. I appreciate your reply.

You can smell our juice from across the yard lol
Depends on the percentages used, I would think.
I use TFA and occasionally Capella's. With Capella's being stronger than TFA, I use less.
Here's my recipe for shake-n-vape strawberries and cream:
    10% TFA ripe strawberry
    10% TFA sweet cream
    1% TFA butter
    Nic to your level
    I mix at 75%VG/25%PG
    I use rda's no tanks :)

That sounds great, I don’t have butter, is the a sub for that? Maybe that’s my problem, hardly none of the recipies calls for that high of a percentage. That may be why I’m not getting much flavor. I was always thinking if you put that high of a % the flavors would mute out, that’s what I have read anyway, but sounds like yours isn’t so I will try your recipie. How long do you let it steep for? Thanks for the reply

I let it steep about two hours in a bath of really hot water. This makes sure that its thin enough for everything the blend together.
I even add a few small glass beads, from Walmart craft section, to aid in the mixing. Works like a bb in fingernail polish :)

Hi Texas Ted! Can you give us a example of a recipe you used? I rarely use other peoples recipes because they are usually too high % or way out of proportion. I find Flavor Art, Inawera (some) and flavorah to be the best for me.
P.S. My main flavor vendor is Flavorah.
