Hi All, Anthony Vapes back here with my review of the Kangertech Supo Pod Kit, please see the bottom for disclaimers and links. Note this is not marked as a sample version.

    Introduction:
The Kangertech Supo Pod kit is the latest Pod Kit from longtime vape manufacturer Kangertech. They have been around in vaping seemingly forever even back in the old evod/protank era but have fell out of popularity over time and haven’t really made anything relevant or good in a long time and some really odd choices like a 5 battery 222 watt mod. The Supo is a simple tall skinny style AIO Pod with refillable pods and a built in 800mah battery and is inhale to fire. It’s available in 4 colors Blue, Red, Black, and Gray. Looking around online i found it for preorder only on a couple of sites in the 17-30USD price range so pretty standard price point

    Kit Rundown
The Kangertech Supo is simple tall skinny rectangle styled AIO (all in one) Pod kit, meaning there isn’t a separate mod or tank that can be used with anything else. It does have replaceable pods so you can carry spares, but those are sold separately and the coils are built into the pods so you replace the whole pod like a renova zero or innokin EQ. Design wise it’s very similar to a smok nord but thinner. It’s a good size all things considered not super small but not large. There is some adjustable air via a switch on the front. If you push it left it has 4 holes for a DTL vape and if you push right it’s 1 hole for a MTL vape. The MTL vape is a solid MTL not tight but not loose and the DTL vape is a restricted DTL. Cool that it has both options and they make a coil for each one but sadly only include the MTL coil for me to try. It has a average capacity of 2ml (so TPD compliant).

The battery is listed at 800mah so a really good size. It features built in USB charging and they list the rate at 1A. Also worth noting is this device does not use a standard USB charger and uses its own proprietary charger which is a bad idea so you won’t have spares laying around like you would with most pods. For the charging I tested this 1 time with an inline USB meter and for the charge rate it charges at .79A max so good enough for the battery size and close enough for the 1A rating but .8 would be most accurate. It charges full in about 65 minutes. Battery size wise i got 702mah so a little lower than listed but not too crazy off. Nothing way overstated from what they list it as, which is all i’m looking for so good enough ratings. It does have passthrough vaping as well like most. The drip tip is proprietary and part of the pod itself. The Supo is very nicely built, it has some weight but not heavy and is a metal body. Paint wise i have the red which is a semi gloss body that looks great and i have no signs of wearing on the paint or anything.

The pods attach to the battery via a magnet system and are easy to get in and out and fit really well so good job there and fit it nicely with no wiggle or play. To remove the pod just pull it out. The filling is a standard rubber plug you pull out like many which works well. The hole is nice and large so easy to fill with a standard fine tip bottle and they include some spare plugs in case you lose one which is nice. Very easy to fill.

Usage is pretty easy. It’s a inhale to fire device with no buttons. No modes or settings or on/off. Just a really simple inhale only device. I had no issues with the air sensor at all. The LED is on the middle of the front and a little on the small and dim side, also due to the position it’s very hard to see when vaping which kind of ruins the battery meter. Not the greatest spot to put it but not the worst i’ve seen and can be viewed while vaping if you focus on it. When vaping the color lets you know the battery charge. White means 3.9V-4.2V, Blue means 3.6V-3.9V, and Red means 3.2V-3.6V. Good enough battery meter not great but not bad. The pod is about half exposed so you need to turn it upside down or pull out the pod to see the juice level when it’s more than half empty. Also the pod is tinted way too dark. Not sure how many times i have to point this out in reviews, but it makes it way too hard to see your juice level. Clear pods would have been better and it needed a juice window as well.

    Coil Performance and details
The Kangertech Supo Pod Kit comes with 1 Pod only sadly. All kits should always include 2 coils/pods. There is 2 coil options a MTL 1 ohm and a DTL .6 ohm. No specs on wire material but they do list them as ceramic. They didn’t send me any extra either so i only got to use the 1 included which was the MTL 1 ohm coil. I used all 50/50 nic salt juices 20 mg nicotine. The coil itself was pretty bad. I’m not going to sugar coat. It was a chore to vape. The flavor started off just nasty and after about half a pod broke into barely vapeable but still gross. Not a good vape at all. I only vaped it enough to kill the battery so i can charge it and test the charge rate and battery. So can’t really speak on the life but the coil was so bad i can't see why you would want one even if it lasted 100 fills lol. Overall just not a good coil and I only had the 1 to judge

    Pros:
    • color options (4 total)
    • Average 2 ml capacity
    • Good build quality on battery
    • nice simple looks
    • good size for easy portability
    • good ratings for battery size
    • charges fast enough (1 hour)
    • pods are easy to remove and install
    • price point for device and coils
    • easy to fill
    • Passthrough Vaping
    • good battery size
    • inhale to fire worked good
    • good enough battery meter
    Cons:
    • coil flavor is bad
    • Juice level hard to see (no juice window, dark tint on pod)
    • LED is hard to see while vaping due to location
    • comes with 1 pod only
    • proprietary charger
    Conclusion
So with all that said, do I recommend this POD kit or not? I don’t like to do a hard yes or no, and this one i have to lean towards the no. Coil flavor was the biggest killer of it for me but also very much dislike the proprietary charger. It’s a nice design and the battery worked well enough and feels nice and looks nice (except for the LED location) but due to the poor coils i can’t recommend this. They need to work on their coils. I won’t be adding this to my spreadsheet of recs which is linked below.

This is Anthony Vapes just keeping it honest, hopefully you all can say the same and i’ll catch you on my next review.
